  • Vices of the Heart: Muslims are duty-bound to guard their hearts against “vices” like doubt, envy, spite, and showing off (riya).
  • Virtues of the Heart: Encourages the cultivation of sincerity (ikhlas), humility, patience (sabr), and certainty (yaqin).
  • Vices of the Limbs: Warns against sins committed through the body, such as consuming usury, intoxicants, backbiting, and lying.
