The forty hadith of al-Imam al-Nawawi is one of the most famous compilation of hadits read all around the world. Even though its size is small and the hadiths mentioned are little, its content comprises the most important matters of the religion, from the foundations of the Islamic creed to the juridical methodologies. Adding to that, the sincerity of the author in compiling these narrations for the benefit of this nation. This book is a commentary written by our local scholar, Ustaz Syed Agil bin Othman bin Yahya. It serves the reader as a guide for him to understand the meanings behind the sayings of the Messenger, may peace and blessings be upon him, as according to the understanding of our pious predecessors.
